Caldicot Town Team CIC is a voluntary not for profit community-led organisation focused on creating opportunities, tackling isolation, and bringing people together through accessible activities, events, and shared spaces both in Caldicot and within our town centre premises CORE Caldicot. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to join our growing team across several roles.
All roles are flexible, with a mixture of remote (hybrid) working and at least one day per week based at CORE Caldicot. Volunteers will typically commit 8–12 hours per week (however this is flexible) and will report directly to the Directors.
Shop Sales Assistant (Volunteer)
Overview:
Support the day-to-day running of the CORE Caldicot shop space based in Caldicot Town Centre, helping create a welcoming and engaging environment for visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting customers and visitors in a friendly, approachable manner
- Handling basic sales and transactions
- Maintaining stock levels and displays
- Keeping the space clean, organised, and inviting
- Promoting CORE Caldicot activities and services

- Wants to gain retail or customer service experience
Administrative Assistant (Volunteer)
Overview:
Help keep CORE Caldicot and Caldicot Town Team running smoothly behind the scenes by supporting with essential admin tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing emails and basic correspondence
- Supporting record-keeping and data entry
- Assisting with scheduling and bookings
- Helping organise documents and systems
- General day-to-day administrative support
Ideal For Someone Who:
- Is organised and detail-oriented
- Has basic IT and computer skills
- Can manage time effectively
- Wants to build admin or office experience
Events Marketing & Management (Volunteer)
Overview:
Play a key role in planning, promoting, and delivering community events that bring Caldicot to life, including our 999 Emergency Services Day, Family Fun Day, Street Food Festivals and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in planning and organising events
- Coordinating with partners, suppliers, and volunteers
- Supporting event setup and delivery
- Promoting events across different channels
- Helping evaluate and improve future events

Social Media Assistant (Volunteer)
Overview:
Help grow CORE Caldicot’s online presence and engage the local community through digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and scheduling social media content
- Responding to messages and comments
- Promoting events, activities, and initiatives
- Supporting content ideas (photos, posts, short videos)
- Monitoring engagement and suggesting improvements
